Shehu Sani – How to defeat the Igbo man who supports the IPOB

Erstwhile Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has given a clue on how to crush the supporters of the IPOB group. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a group that leads the calls for Biafrans’ freedom from Nigeria led by Nnamdi Kanu, who has been seriously agitating for a split of the country. This is to enable them to achieve having the sovereign state of Biafra.  According to Sahara Reporters, he urged the Nigerian Government to allow people to self-determine if they wish to remain a part of the country or not. That it was unfair to merge people together against their wishes.

The former Senator Shehu Sani took to his Facebook Wall to make his mind known and advised that Igbos should be treated with fairness and justice to defeat IPOB. You may want to recall that some days ago, according to Daily Post, the Presidency had accused Nnamdi Kanu and his group of trying to destroy Nigeria before the international community. In response to this statement from the Presidency, Nnamdi Kanu boasted that they had already destroyed Nigeria and that this would still be evident before everyone.

However, in a recent post shared on the Senator’s Facebook page, the former lawmaker urged the government to crush those against Nigeria’s unity. He wrote: “The only way to defeat the Igbo man who supports the IPOB is to treat the Igbo man who supports Nigeria with fairness and justice and to treat all Nigerians with fairness and Justice.

“As long as we would continue to run a nation and a system where a collective punishment is meted on a people because of their political decision or history, we are simply emboldening the secessionists and their sympathizers.

“Love those who hold the national flag to crush those who reject the national flag so that our great country can withstand all subversions.”
