Breaking: United States Orders Closure of Chinese Consulate in Houston

Report coming in from the United States of America says that it has ordered the closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston, Texas on Friday this week as a result of claims by the United States that Chinese hackers are trying to steal the coronavirus vaccines research. Speaking from Beijing, China’s capital, David Culver, a CNN correspondent said the closure of the Chinese consulate is happening as a result of spying accusations of the Chinese allegedly trying to steal research vaccines. It was also alleged that the pair also stole hundreds of millions of dollars in sensitive information from companies around the world while working on behalf of Beijing’s premier spy service.

With some good news appearing to be around the corner about the coronavirus cure, the United States of America and Pfizer have reached a deal to produce millions of COVID-19 vaccine doses with the former planning to spend $2 billion on the vaccines. In a very quick response, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin says the action taken by the United States is a political move.

Just yesterday, 21st July 2020, the United States President Donald Trump resumed briefing on COVID-19 after leaving it in April. At the briefing, he said the pandemic will “probably, unfortunately, get worse before it gets better.” Speaking further, Trump said they were in the process of developing a strategy that would be “very, very powerful”. When quizzed about Trump’s statement at the briefing, CNN White House correspondent John Harwood affirmed what Trump said and said that the vaccines would be ready faster than when the pandemic began. He predicted many would have it by December and many more by 2021.

This is coming at a time when the number of deaths cases in the United States alone have surpassed 142,000.
